Woodend Winter Art Show 2024

The annual Woodend Winter Art Show held over the King’s Birthday weekend was once again a great success and much enjoyed by the WAG Members and many visitors.

AWARDS

Margaret has received awards judged by such noted artists as Carl Anderson, David K Taylor, Tim Jones, Richard Chamerski and Kevin Boucher. Many of her paintings have been purchased by interstate and overseas buyers. She has been commissioned to paint Australian landscapes in watercolour for hanging in Malaysia.

Some awards include:

  • Honourable Mention for a silk painting at the 2013 Kilmore Art Expo.
    (judged by Richard Chamerski).
  • Honourable Mention at The Art Beyond the Divide Art Expo in Seymour for a silk painting. (judged by the Assistant Curator of the Benalla Art Gallery).
  • Best Oil in Show, Broadford Art Show 2015 (judged by Karolyn Mitchell).
  • Best Oil and 2nd place Watercolour at a show in Seymour in October, 2016
  • Highly Commended for an oil painting, ‘Sunset’ exhibited at the Woodend Art Show in November 2016. (Judged by Tim Jones).
  • Highly Commended at the Woodend Lions Exhibition March 2020 for oil painting titled ‘Old Trestle Bridge across the Goulburn River in Seymour’
    (judged by Jill Rivers and Llael McDonald).
